Samuel Hahnemann, famed for exploring and advancing the ancient ‘like cures like’ principle upon which homeopathy is built, was born in April.
His full date of birth is 10th April 1755, and his place of birth Meissen in Saxony.
Often cited as the ‘founder of homeopathy’, Hahnemann’s contribution to homeopathy spawned its revival, investigation and development for the modern day.
Here are a few of his thoughts for you to ponder:
The physician’s high and only mission is to restore the sick to health, to cure, as it is termed.
The highest ideal of cure is rapid, gentle and permanent restoration of the health, or removal and annihilation of the disease in its whole extent, in the shortest, most reliable, and most harmless way.
Only freedom from prejudice and tireless zeal avail for the most holy of the endeavours of mankind, the practice of the true art of healing.
Happy Birthday Hahnemann – and of course to you if your birthday happens to be in April.
Warm wishes,
Lucy
